I got this reel for Striped Bass. After a full day in the pouring rain in salt water & landing over 20 large fish. I was sold! Very Smooth reel with incredible drag system. The large diameter spool makes casting a breeze. I would recommend this reel to anyone after big fish. Also great price for such a large reel!

You can easily spend over a thousand dollars on a reel if you so choose, but something under $100 can do you just fine too...it always has for me. I recommend this reel as a lower-budget, high-quality spinning reel, which has an all-metal and anodized aluminum, with a large soft-touch knob for a steady and comfortable retrieve. Having 8 ball bearings makes it the right choice for chasing big game fish that could weigh over 50lbs. It has a one touch Free Runner lever and tension dial, secondary drag system, anti-reverse and gear ratio 4.1:1. Watch out stripers, here I come! Cheers!

Having the option to fish for Musky, Sturgeon and stripers nearby mean I am going to need something that can take the punishment of large fish and this reel fits that bill. Large capacity spool and bait runner option means the fish are going to be able to take a hold of my bait and swim away feeling comfortable with what they have until I lock the baitrunner down and set the hook. Great value.
